The food is always been hit or mess at the surf. There’s always a new chef every three months. The latest has great plans two weeks ago. The food was very good last night I chose the hamburger clearly a cheap frozen patty pathetic. There is no excuse for a poor hamburger Yet another item there, I will never eat or order again

I visited the restaurant twice. (no hotel user) The first time was during lunchtime, and the second time was for dinner. One of the best things about this restaurant is its location. Despite being across the street, you can still enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. If you're lucky enough to get a seat by the window, it's a bonus! The interior is also natural and bright, with a Gabriola Island vibe, featuring wooden tones. The service is not a problem when it's not too crowded, but if it gets busy, the food may take longer, so it's better to come prepared for a wait or considering your ferry time. I took a walk along the nearby coast during the waiting time, and at another time I tried to cancel the order because of the ferry time. The prices for the dishes were reasonable, and they were delicious. The dessert was quite sweet, so it would be great if they had options for those who don't prefer overly sweet treats. Overall is good! I would recommend it for couples, especially during sunset hours.

Food was pretty decent. Fries are crispy and good. I had a wrap. It satisfied me. Cod burger was frozen mystery fish slab but still good. Likely not cod however. Staff were nice. Returned the next night

Terrible service bad attitude from server, extremely long wait for cold food not to be returning again local business in decline for at least the last 4 years

Restaurant review only we didn’t stay at the hotel. The service was slow and the food didn’t taste like much was made in house: hamburger was made from frozen patty and the sides for the steak dinner (shrimp, asparagus) were unseasoned. It’s too bad because it’s such an amazing view. That is likely what has kept this place in business.

good food :) ... friendly table service .. craft beers ... full bar ... live music .. .. TVs .. private and extended table service room .. wood burning fireplace .. good amount of table .. POOL table!
